Summary: Set far in the future. The planet the Doctor lands on keeps getting smaller. The cheery elderly couple who've crashed on it can't remember how they got there. The TARDIS is filled with music and because it's transcendental space, he can't see what will happen next.

Author's Notes: I may yet edit this further. I'm open to suggestions. I start out with a snippet of mush then super inflate storyline around said mush. In this case, the super inflation took on a life of its own! ^_~

A/N: Set immediately after Donna turns right. Follows A Tough Act to Follow in the Twins!verse, but you can read it stand-alone. Technically canon-compliant, but I'm filing it under the Twins!verse because things don't come off this dark in canon. Of course, I'm arrogant enough to believe that what I've written is accurate, and it's canon that's not played dark enough. ;)

Remember something I posted a few days ago about the BBC miniseries The Legend of Robin Hood?  (The linked post contains a link to a page with a detailed synopsis.)  The one that I thought had some resemblances to "our" RH including Robin being a part of King Richard's person guard, Sir Guy of Gisbourne being genuinely in love with Marian despite being a baddie, and Robin being fatally poisoned by Gisbourne's sister.  OK, so I got the DVD yesterday and made some screencaps mainly because you all wanted to see what the other Gisbo(u)rne was like, and... ta-dah!
